Barbara, the way things are going I just hope that the dignity of this special occasion is not being sacrificed by pole dancing, thongs, life jackets and alcohol (except for the wee one and a half litre bottle of pernod for medicinal purposes or in cases of severe thirst- mine!). Has Kathleen been told about that darned snake? We can't have Amanda upset. Then there's that Julie: does she understand that she must not climb while we are on board! The captain would not be pleased. Mary should be in trouble as well for buying only one thong as we can't share it.

When are we booked?

Don`t worry Eleanor, we`ll be dignified when we do the pole-dancing. I thought we might arrange for a trampoline on board too - think what fantastic moves we could do on that : back-flips, somersaults, star-jumps. I think it`s a great idea - if we can have a trampoline I might be persuaded to leave the snake at home.............................

I bet Jean would enjoy a trampoline, and think of the exercise we`d get.............We could bounce in unison!

I don't like the picture I'm getting of Jean in a thong bouncing on a trampoline! LOL LOL LOL

Barbara, good deportment is essential for pole dancing and I have already said I can walk with a book on my head so I assure you I do not need deportment classes.
Eleanor, if we give you some pole dancing lessons, and Barbara is keen to learn too so you would not be alone, do you think you would then agree to have a small poledancing session at your do?

It's okay Eleanor regarding the thong, I was aware there was only the one SO I ordered matching thongs with everyone's personalised life jackets...they look wonderful.

Each particular colour matches the thong so for instance orange and purple life jacket, orange thong....looks superb.

Let's forgo the deportment classes, we really don't need them.....if Doreen can do that balancing trick with books and I can do that special number with wine bottles on my knees...we're sorted!

As for a trampoline, i thought this was SUCH an awesome suggestion, I have arranged for one to be flown onto the ship...it will be ready and waiting for us when we arrive and takes 20 ladies........................................................

Very easy to get off it- we just do a somersault over the side.

Oh, well done Amanda for arranging to get a trampoline. I`m sure Eleanor won`t mind as long as we bounce up and down in a tasteful and refined manner. And it takes 20 ladies?? That`s an awesome amount of bounce!!

That`s a good idea to scrap the deportment lessons - though if Doreen still wants to wear a book on her head I don`t mind. In deference to Eleanor though, I think it should be tasteful - perhaps one of the classics?

Great idea about the matching thongs and lifejackets - like a sort of colourful uniform, don`t you think?

Anything else we might need?

OK, NO more deportment lessons it's going to be a mad hair-raising do, with wild ladies flying around flashing designer thongs, dancing and swinging around a pole, with trampoline intervals with bouncing Jean in sparkly thong and tassels of course. ThumpUp

I'm gonna have to bring the tranquilizers along for our gal Eleanor......LOL LOL

Amanda and co. Guess who was out for dinner, drinking champagne with a snake in the company! Talk about surreal! All I could think about was this thread and all my forum friends.

As many of you know, I go off for a long weekend abroad with another 7 work colleagues, who have became friends, every year. One retired last year and we were all invited to dinner at her home. We were drinking champagne and having a lovely time - lots of red and white Amanda - super food and having fun as only women can, when I spotted an aquarium. After a few glasses - very few - I had a little look in the aquarium just as this huge snake was having a poo! I looked all around for Kathleen, almost expected the ceilidh band to strike up and all you girls to appear. Just for a minute, I was really off stride as two worlds collided!

Anyhow that is what it was all about!

Doreen, I have met many a snake in my time, but they don't normally poo at our first meeting, at least not in my sight!

So girls, I hope that Barbara is training you up to be sedate and civilised at my celebration. I will possibly wear a little black dress under my life jacket and of course, long gloves.

Looking forward to it but no snakes Kathleen!!!!!!

Eleanor x

It sounds like it could have been Kathleen's snake, judging by the way it behaved!RollEyes
